Why Us?

At NewDawn Fiber, we believe everyone deserves access to fiber-fast speed and smart, friendly service … no matter where you live. That’s why we started the company.

Founders Kennis Mann and Bryon Jeffers created NewDawn Fiber to connect small towns with fiber-fast speed, all while treating customers like neighbors, not numbers on a spreadsheet. Both Kennis and Bryon have years of experience designing and delivering digital technology solutions to people and companies across the country and around the world. In fact, they’ve worked with some of the nation’s leading development and engineering firms. But their roots and passion? Those are 100% home grown.

Kennis Mann

Kennis Mann

Kennis Mann began his entrepreneurial career when he formed his first construction company at age 24. The firm, which operated in the Electrical Power and Telecommunication industry, still operates across the heartland. His experience as a business owner allowed Kennis to be involved with many of the first “Fiber to the Home” projects throughout rural America and the positive impact new technology could have on rural communities and their residents. Thirty years later, Kennis draws on this valuable insight to bring the latest in Fiber Optic technology to those who want to be in the forefront of the gigabit fiber experience.

Bryon Jeffers

Bryon Jeffers

Bryon Jeffers has lived in Excelsior Springs his entire life, and his parents still live in the house where he was born and raised. While he didn't marry the girl next door, Bryon did marry the girl across the street. Today, he, his wife and children are active members of the Excelsior Springs community. Bryon brings over 25 years' experience in telecommunications, wireless data and fiber optics to NewDawn Fiber, and has worked for some of the leading firms in these industries.

Bodie Cooper

Bodie Cooper

Bodie Cooper began his journey in the Telecommunications industry in 1997 with a company that developed the first fiber-to-the-home system in North America. Over the past 18 years, Bodie has been involved with numerous such projects through the heartland of the country and was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce in his hometown. A life-long resident of rural America, Bodie is excited about his role in bringing fiber technology to rural communities, and the resulting impact on economic development.
